Capricorn season began on Dec. 21st. Here's the long version interpretation of Capricorn. You can also search the group for the video I made last year that covers some of this.
Hello Hardworking, #bossbabe, Capricorn! Capricorn rules the 10th house of career in the zodiac, and it’s a cardinal sign, which makes it an initiator. This sign governs over the knees, skin, bones, and teeth. Capricorn’s energy teaches structure, delayed gratification, working towards long-term goals, loyalty, traditions, and is the “father” of the zodiac, although it’s considered a “feminine” sign. Saturn rules over Capricorn, and Saturn’s known as Cronus in Greek Mythology. Cronus means “father time.” Capricorns want to be respected and in charge. They deal with having a reserved and repressive nature because Saturn is a very authoritarian planet. Capricorns want to earn official titles, and they’re willful and have grit.
Capricorns are highly individualistic, intelligent (with Aquarius being considered the genius of the Zodiac, Capricorn is right in step with Aquarius as far as brains go, just in a different more strict tone), independent, and they keep a cool head, most of the time. They’re not ones to complain. Their funny side can be dry and sarcastic but leaves people laughing. Some Cappies tend to lean to the dark side of humor, too. I always refer to Dorothy form the Golden Girls TV show. Her sense of humor was always dry, sarcastic, and never missed a beat. However, it’s not likely for just anyone to know the seagoat’s really fun and funny side. It’s the people closest to them, the people they feel like they can let their hair down with that get to witness the sometimes very goofy, silly side of Capricorns that slips out once in a blue moon. On the note of jokes and fun, people shouldn’t make light of a Capricorn or mock them. They hate that, and it deeply hurts a Capricorn.
You won’t catch a Cappy without an itinerary when they’re traveling. They have a plan A and a plan B that’s typically just as great as plan A. of course, most Cappies are type A people, too, so go figure. Timeliness is important to a seagoat. They’re the type that feels late if they arrive 15 minutes ahead of an appointment or schedule work time. They get embarrassed easily in public. Everything has to go as planned. They also don’t like to make fusses in public. They’re not big on PDA, either. Don’t scoff at Capricorn’s staunch modesty just yet though. Capricorns will rock the socks off their partners, just in private. They ooze sex appeal when they tap into it, and are very sensual people.
Caps want security; they want to make sure needs are met in their homes and with their finances, as well as at work. Their work is vital to their identity, and at times this can lead them to come across stoic, but they’re a rock for their loved ones and people that depend on them. A Capricorn would shatter mountains and split open the sea for people they love. They have the backs of their loved ones for the long haul. Cappies are actually incredibly sensitive souls with soft hearts, but they are great at building walls around themselves to not get hurt. Trust is very important to Capricorns in order to be vulnerable with someone. They’re very picky about who they really open up with. You won’t find many people that understand Capricorn’s sensitive nature without really knowing one.
The problem comes in when people don’t understand how a Capricorn shows their love. They keep their nose to the grindstone, and this can lead their loved ones to feel unnoticed or unloved, but in actuality, this is the most significant way a Capricorn shows their love is through providing security for themselves and their family. They love their work. Their earnings from the work they do gives them the ability to create stability and meet the needs and wants of their loved ones in a materialistic way; food, clothes, roof over their head, and they want to give their loved ones more than the necessities, but also experiences and opportunities.
Capricorns don’t require a lot of attention or praise. A simple pat on the back will light up a Capricorn. You might not see them light up, but they’ll show you how happy they are to have earned your respect, love, and acknowledgment by working even harder. Kind and generous tendencies come naturally to a goat, too. Not only do they want to provide for others, but they understand emotional depths and waters. They often face depression, loneliness, feeling like a fish out of water, and not quite fitting in, especially in their youth. Cappies aren’t shallow people. I like to think of them as this mix of earth and water signs, like the symbol denotes a seagoat.
They can plunge the depths like a Scorpio, and understand emotions well, but they don’t like disclosing their emotions. On the flip side, they know heights like no other with the way their drive can push them to keep getting up and trying. They’re tenacious and persevere. Since they understand the duality, they can meet you at your darkest time and be a shoulder to lean on, and they will be there to support you reaching your goals and dreams, too. They want to make sure everyone feels provided for. This of course is the trait of a Capricorn not struggling with their shadow side and by that I mean the ones that come across as tyrants.
Caps desire prestige, although they’re not flamboyant, they still want recognition and work hard to create a good, solid reputation. These folks are born with their eyes on the prize, and they don't lack ambition in the slightest. They’re resilient, but need to learn to listen to their heart too, not just their head. They need to remember to celebrate even small milestones because they get so focused on the big picture and accomplishment. It’s important to note that Cappies can truly thrive when they have a partner that helps them to soften up and celebrate life, to loosen up and also appreciate their achievements big or small along the way.
Seagoats feel a lot of self-doubt, awkwardness, and they often don’t see what others see in them. They’re very hard on themselves. They never quite feel like they do enough or come across as a leader.
Cappies take pleasure in the simple things in life. This sign, along with Cancer, love traditions. This is a person that likes to create and hold onto traditions; they’re the type that want to protect and preserve family history, and are often drawn to history in general. They honor family. They honor loyalty and honesty. Many Capricorns have a timeless vibe. They’re an old soul classic, and they love the classics. They often dress modestly and professionally, but this can also change up depending on other placements in their chart. Many Capricorns are attracted to status symbols, and these types will wear the best and most tasteful clothes while driving quietly impressive cars. Their homes are usually well organized and kept up. They like things a certain way and believe in structure and order. Plus, they’d never want to be caught off guard and appear messy or out of sorts.
Seagoats are prone to a lot of sadness, depression, isolation, loneliness, and nostalgia. Melancholy visits them often. At times it can feel like being beaten by violinist wielding a stick of butter, a bittersweet, moving, soft type of sadness. At other times it’s a type of grief, depression, and frustration that can be like the thickest, sharpest icicle barely hanging from the branch of a pine threatening to penetrate anything below. Since Cappy’s are born in the winter, they arrive at a time of the year with the longest nights and shortest days, a time of survival.
Winter babies have reserves of strength and a sense of duty and survivalism throughout their life; this can lead them to be set in their ways though, so it’s essential for Capricorns to understand when to budge and release, too. Seagoats aren’t strangers to hardship and frustration. It’s part of the territory as a Capricorn ruled by Saturn. Saturn lays down the law and tough lessons, this weight and authority has its thumb on Capricorns throughout their life. They often make things even harder on themselves. They take on a lot and rarely, if ever, would even the people closest to them see them admit to or show any buckling under pressure.
They don’t take the easy way out. Saturn doesn’t just dole out hard knock lessons for no reason though. The outcome Saturn hopes for is always to better the person being affected by its rule. Hardship teaches the Capricorn to refine their ambitions and develop long-term staying power.
Capricorns take time to make decisions. They can be slow, methodical, but are practical and logical people. Seagoats know how to do things “the right way,” but they need to learn to not be tyrants and dictators about doing things their way because they can totally end up being perceived that way in the eyes of the people that live with them and work with them.
Speaking of speed and time, Capricorns typically don’t fit in well with people their own age. Many find themselves being friends with and partnering with people older than they are. They connect better with older generations and other old souls. They often don’t find their place in the world, their “people,” “tribe,” or what have you and successes until later in life. They have a very slim, small circle they count on, even though many typically depend on them. And I can’t mention things related to timing without bringing up aging. Capricorns, you seem to age backwards. You keep your youthful looks long through your adult years, and come across as old during your youth and more youthful in your older years. This has a lot to do with all the hard work you put in during the first half of your life that you eventually get to reap the rewards.
When a Capricorn is at their best, people really know they can count on them; they respect the Capricorn and want to praise them, which makes the Cappy feel appreciated for all their efforts. When a Cappy feels appreciated they'll want to reach for the stars and feel nothing is impossible. Their ambitions can be crippling though and if they don’t feel like they’re making progress or reaching success it crushes them. Even when they do reach a goal, they don’t take time to recognize their efforts. They’re the first to say it’s not enough and strive for more. Capricorns need to learn to enjoy life a bit more, especially the tangible and sensual side of life. This is an earth sign, and earth signs are all about the tangible and material side of life. They want to experience through their senses, so loosen up, and celebrate your accomplishments, Capricorn.
